Substance Use

The stigma around addiction can bring emotions like shame and guilt along with confusion and frustration that make it hard to feel like there’s progress being made. You may be having your own issues with substance use or concerned about a loved one or family member. You can expect to have a nonjudgmental space to explore your substance use and help you make more thoughtful and informed decisions around it. I’ve worked with a wide range of clients; some who have the goal of abstinence and others who are still ambivalent about their use. Wherever you are, I’m here to explore and help you find what works for you.

Navigating life in recovery has a unique set of challenges that I am well acquainted with. I feel comfortable helping you get immersed in the 12-step community or taking a harm-reduction approach. Working at agencies where both approaches have been used, I feel confident in both. We can work together to address challenges anywhere from Post Acute Withdrawal Symptoms to relapse prevention skills. I offer a supportive and creative space to make sure the tools provided will serve you in your recovery, whatever that looks like to you.

I also offer support for families or parents that have a loved one struggling with substance use. You might be unsure of how to support your loved one or feel ready to give up completely. I find that things like boundary development, an increase in self-care activities, and finding your own support are often good places to start.

Mental Health

Apart from substance use individual & family therapy, I also offer therapy to address mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and various forms of trauma. I find value and joy working with clients on things like parenting issues, codependency issues, and other life stressors. My goal is to offer support and find intentional ways to help you make the changes you want to see in your life.
